Transforming our world – The UNs 17 Sustainable Development Goals
The Education for Sustainable Developement (ESD) department in the Maximilianpark Hamm now offers a new programme. We want to invite schools to take an exciting journey with us where teachers and their classes get to know the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the United Nations.
The programme ‘Transforming our world – the UNs 17 Sustainable Development Goals’ starts by introducing the Agenda 2030 and the concept of the SDGs. The participants learn that the 192 nations of the world have not only adopted a guideline for sustainable action, but also that everyone can contribute to a sustainable future. In the second part of the programme, the students develop concrete options for action. The example of clothing production makes it clear why working conditions, climate protection, education and poverty never stand alone, but rather influence each other. At the end, the students and teachers receive a handout with which the topic can be discussed further in class.
